92% Malbec and 8% Aglianico from the Siletto Family Cienega Vineyard in the Paicines AVA. These vines were originally planted on Saint George rootstock in the 1960s and produce excellent quality fruit with a hint of Cahors flavors. This Malbec punched down three times a day for 21 days before being pressed into clay amphora where it was blended with a hint of Aglianico to add some acidity for five months.
This wine is dedicated to my mother and her family who preserved many challenges in their quest for safety and freedom from oppression. It is also dedicated to the many immigrants who sustain the wine industry in the United States. Without their dedication and hard work, the wine industry in California would probably be a small fraction of what it is today.
$1 dollar of every bottle produced is donated to the National Immigration Law Center. To donate to our campaign please give using the following link. https://www.nilc.org/
