About us

Hollow Wines was founded in 2020 as a project to focus on sustainable wine production practices. From lighter bottles to recycling wastewater, our goal is to show that great wine can be made with fewer resources.

Since 2020, our mission has grown to include preserving the rights of our farm workers, sales teams, and our intentional partners. We are a brand founded by an immigrant and a 1st generation citizen of the world.

Dr. Quinn Hobbs

Born just South of San Francisco, Dr. Quinn's passion for wine and philopshy started at a very young age (too yound to disclose). When riding mountain bike trails in the Santa Cruz Mountains Quinn fell in love with terroir of the Central Coast and began volunteering at local wineries in the Hollister area as well as in Santa Barbara. His passion for wine and political science formed together as he finally decided to leave his career in marketing for full-time winemaking while pursuing his Ph.D. in Political Science at Pepperdine University. Finally after his third vintage Dr. Quinn finished his Ph.D. focusing on how politicians leverage social media to polarize their bases. When Quinn isn't busy crushing grapes or slanging juice, you can find him at the beach with his lovely West Australian partner, Alison Clare (writer) and daughter Mina.
